Welcome
to the website for the New Britain Power Squadron. Since 1940 we
have been a fraternal boating club dedicated to making new friends
and having fun while boating. But we also stress the importance of
self-education, through the participation of our elective courses
and learning guides. We are one of thirteen squadrons in District
1 which ties our squadron with the others in the
Connecticut/Springfield, MA/Western Rhode Island area (see map) and provides administrative
oversight.
We
believe in civic Service through our public boating courses, local
boating safety programs, the National Ocean Survey Cooperative
Charting Program, and the USPS/US Coast Guard/U.S. Coast Guard
Auxiliary Vessel Safety Check Program.
If you
live in nearby towns like Berlin, Bristol, New Britain, Newington,
Plainville, Rocky Hill or Southington, we welcome you to join!
Please explore our website. Learn about the boating safety and
seamanship courses we offer and the various events that we sponsor.
If you're looking for a place to find out how to get more enjoyment
out of your boat and become affiliated with people of a common
interest, you've found it!
If
you'd like to join us, we welcome you to one of our monthly
meetings, held at 146 Hudson Street in Berlin. Visit our Contact
Us page for directions and meeting details.
Again,
thanks for visiting and we look forward to seeing you out on the
water! |
